SAVE-ME: Test with 200 children organized by UNIMORE, Italian National Fire Corps, IES Solutions and University of Stuttgart

On January 27th 2011 about 200 children between 6 and 13 years old were involved in a test aimed to assess how the technological devices developed in SAVE-ME (www.save-me.eu) could effectively support people (including children, elderly and impaired) in quick and optimal mass evacuation from underground facilities.

Members of the HMI (Human-Machine Interaction) Group of the Department of Sciences and Methods for Engineering of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia supported the Italian National Fire Corps (Vigili del Fuoco) in the test organization and management, together with two other project partners: IES Solutions and the University of Stuttgart. 
 

Preliminary results of the test will be presented at the event on “Rescue in underground facilities” which will take place in Rome, at the Istituto Superiore Antincendi premises on March, 3rd 2011.

On March 3rd, 2011 Ministero dell’Interno - Dipartimento dei Vigili del Fuoco, del Soccorso Pubblico e della Difesa Civile and the SAVE-ME project organise an event on “Rescue in underground facilities”.

The event will take place in Rome, at the Istituto Superiore Antincendi premises.

Francesco Tesauri of the HMI (Human-Machine Interaction) Group of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia will be one of the speakers of the event.

During the event preliminary results from the SAVE ME tests carried out in January in Montelibretti will be presented.
